Melanie Kirkwood Ruiz

Melanie Kirkwood Ruiz serves as Chief Information Officer, leading enterprise-wide technology strategy and operations across ABM. Advancing a technology transformation, Melanie leads the strategic direction and management for the technology platforms and systems enabling ABM to deliver on its mission while elevating ABM’s client and team member experience.

Recognized among the CIO 100, Melanie’s vision and leadership is central to the success of ABM’s multiyear ELEVATE strategy, embracing and leveraging new uses of data and technology across ABM’s global enterprise, further fueling the company’s growth trajectory, and strengthening its leadership position.  

Melanie is widely recognized as a progressive technology leader with 20 years of experience across diverse industries, including technology, commercial real estate, manufacturing, health care, and aviation. She joined ABM in 2020 from Cushman& Wakefield, where she led technology strategy for the Americas.

She has an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and both a master’s and bachelor's degree in engineering from Cornell University.
